This is a resource material for African Geography teacher training institutions. The module aims at providing ideas, activities and resources to facilitate effective teaching and learning of Geography. In this context, effective teaching and learning of Geography means effective implementation of technological and pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK).
Descripción
This module is intended for the Geography teacher trainers who are expected to impart the acquired technological pedagogical content knowledge to student teachers (pre-service) and the teachers who are already teaching in secondary schools (in-service) in Africa.
The module is divided into units which have sections for easy reading and comprehension. Each section is indicated distinctly by icons as shown in the table below. For purposes of uniformity, we have employed the same scheme of partitioning in every unit throughout the module.
·The learning Objectives show what is expected from you once you complete working on the unit.
·All the units have activities that help you to reflect and think critically about what you are learning.
·Every unit has activities and assessment.
·There are review questions at the end of each unit.
·There is a section, Further Readings. It provides examples of reference materials you can use to learn more about the content in the unit.
·You will write examination at the end of the module.
